She is also now a cancer warrior/survivor. Until 2 weeks ago she has quite literally been at deaths door for more than 8 weeks, all due to her suddenly developing extreme hypoglycaemia. It’s not an exaggeration to say that we almost lost her more times than I care to count. After many, many tests she was finally diagnosed with what turned out to be a malignant insulinoma, and to say I was absolutely devastated is an understatement. As I’m sure you already know that far too often this is a death sentence for most dogs. But my Ghia-girl is only just barely 8 years old, has ALWAYS been healthy prior to this, and has always been there for me; supporting me throughout my different cancers, faithfully laying beside me and comforting me during my recoveries from biopsies, surgeries and treatments. Most importantly of all, she was still full of fight and not at all ready to throw in the towel. We knew that if she had the strength to fight, then we could do no less than to fight for her for as long as we could and as long as she wanted us to. I am delighted to report that yesterday she had her stitches from her surgery removed, and best of all she is almost completely back to normal. By some miracle, not only was her surgeon able easily find and excise it cleanly, but he was even able to leave almost her entire right pancreatic lobe intact, (with clean margins), negating pretty much all of the major issues we’d been warned could and would most like happen following her surgery. The only thing we have to watch from here on out is her diet and fortunately raw is the #1 recommended diet following this specific issue & surgery. (Luckily for us & her, she’s quite literally been a Courtlyn girl since the day we brought her home from her breeder 😉). There is unfortunately a chance of it reoccurring, about 50-50, but I am praying hard that it won’t. I can’t know what the future will bring, but I am building more memories with her, enjoying every second we are given together and making them count. So now I have another reason to thank you yet again, from the very bottom of my heart, for never failing to provide the highest quality but still affordable raw dog food around. Your products quite literally saved my highly allergic male Springer Hendrix’s life and went on to help him live a full, long life of 17 years until he crossed the bridge last year. They’re also helping our other severely allergy prone dog Pudge, our newest adoptee Sassy and it’s now providing the very best nutrition for my beloved heart dog, our sweet, special little Ghia.
❤️ With sincere gratitude. W,C and Gang

I’ve been buying raw food from Courtlyn Custom for almost 8 years and selling for 3 years.  We get comments all the time on how our dogs look. I’ve said this before time and time again. I wouldn’t ever go back to kibble. Some say kibble is more convenient. Maybe. But when you have a system, it’s super easy! And I buy the 7.5lb chubs!
I love the variety that Courtlyn Custom has. I’m not the only one. I have quite a few customers who appreciate the variety. And the quality is outstanding too. I’m forever telling my potential and then repeat customers about the quality. I tell tell them if Courtlyn isn’t feeding it to their family, they are grinding it up for dogfood. It’s table quality, can’t get better than that!
I will keep buying/selling this stuff. It’s Canadian made. Oh and it’s affordable too. Not like the cost of rent. Lol

I started feeding raw years ago, when my Puli, who was 1 at the time, quit eating altogether. He had never finished a meal, but I knew I had to do something when he stopped eating, so I switched to raw. He never missed another meal until he was 5, then he crashed. He lasted another 3 days. Turns out he had been born with kidney disease, but the raw food gave him a normal, good quality life, never sick, no trips to the vet, no one was even aware he had been born with a terminal disease until the very end. That proved to me that raw was worth feeding, and definitely a better choice than kibble. Since then, I have fed raw to another Puli who died of old age at over 14, and my Whippets are all fed raw. The oldest is over 10, and she was still racing last fall. No health issues in any of my dogs, and they are fit and are still competitive longer than one would expect. I've seen and experienced the benefits of a raw diet; I would never go back to feeding kibble.
"We were introduced to Jodie & Matthew (Courtlyn Custom Dog Food) by a friend when our 3 yrs old Rottweiler simply stopped eating dry dog food of any kind. We ordered a bit of everything and were surprised by how much he loved the food. It was more than 10 years ago. We never fed our dogs dry commercial food ever since.  Today, our 3rd rottie pup is growing happy eating raw food from Courtlyn Custom Dog Food. Excellent value and quality products from a local family-owned business!"
As for Nobel - he's great pup, lots of fun, the only thing is that we still trying to figure out what to feed him 🙂. I've never seen a dog that picky. One thing we know for sure - he likes variety 🙂 To keep him engaged we change food at least every day. Certain things he just doesn't like - ground products, pork, liver. Two other dogs we had before would go crazy for liver, but not him.  Chicken necks - yes, most of the times, but not 2 days in a row. Sometimes not even twice on the same day. His food has to be frozen and cubed up - this is the only way he would eat it.
